LACE DETAIL

04/04/2017

We spent most of day two at SXSW walking down Austin’s infamous Sixth St. The entire area is closed off to cars during the festival, so getting around is really convenient. We hopped from venue to venue – some next door to one another, some across the street – but every stop had live music playing through their open windows and doors.

A friend of mine suggesting stopping at a new cocktail bar called Garage. You’d never find it if you weren’t looking for it, as the location is actually inside of a parking garage. It’s home to some of Austin’s top-rated craft-cocktails, and they did not disappoint. I recommend the “Penicillin” if you stop by – super refreshing after walking all day! Our waitress even dished that Garage recently hosted Drake’s private birthday celebration this year (what!). Add this place to your to-do list if you’re heading to Austin soon.. a spot this cool won’t stay quiet long!

TOP Free People // SUNNIES Ray Ban // BAG Rebecca Minkoff

I wore this lovely lace Free People top for day 2. I was flooded with compliments, this top is a crowd pleaser! It actually stays up really well, so the fit is great and easy. I paired it with jeans, even though the temps were high. It’s super breezy, though, so I felt comfortable through the night. There is even some beading in the lace detail. I found the top on sale here, half of what I paid! I typically wear a S in Free People, and this top fits true to size. I can’t wait to pair it with shorts and gladiators throughout the summer – definitely a piece you can carry through seasons. I just wish they had it in another color!

Stay tuned, as my third recap post is coming at you guys tomorrow! As always, thanks for reading!    Xx, Alley

But the most defining of moments came about when I paid attention to the signs and trusted my gut. Chasing down dreams is equally about planning for the expected and embracing the unexpected."
