5 Fall Denim Styles Under $100

10/25/2017

The weather has finally turned in Paris, which means my jacket and denim rotation has officially begun. I’ve definitely seen some interesting jean fabrications here that I want to try. But when I consider investing in ‘trendy’ denim, the conversation usually goes something like.. my mind: “you need these,” and my wallet: “you need to buy groceries.”

So, for my girls out there also on the grocery/bills/living expenses budget, I’ve rounded up my 5 favorite denim styles for Fall that won’t break the bank. Here’s the list:

1. Mom Jeans (Part I) – Levi ($98)

I’m a Mom-Jean convert, and I’m not afraid to say it. This pair has a perfectly frayed edge and some slight distress. Its minimal enough to fly under the radar for “Casual Friday” at the office, but edgy enough to take into Friday night.

2. Embellished Black Skinnies – Shopbop ($100)

I’ve seen these pearl embellishments a lot of places, but this is the first I’m seeing them on denim. I love how fun and edgy these jeans are – especially since they make a statement, but the embellishments are black, so its not over the top. I picture myself pairing them with a head-to-toe black look that is sleek, yet understated. And by not shelling out mad cash for this pair, you won’t feel bad if they cycle out in a year or two.

3. My Go-To Distressed Jean – Levi ($88)

When I bought these jeans, if you told me I was getting a pair of cannot-live-withouts for $88, I wouldn’t have believed you. Read my lips – they are the bomb. The distress is a solid amount without going overboard, they don’t stretch out while wearing, the length is good for rolling, and they are high-waisted. Find a better priced/better performing daily-driver, I dare you. They are filed away as part of the OG Styled in September “Starter Kit” that you can find here, along with all my other holy grail items.

4. Mom Jeans (Part II) – Urban Outfitters ($69)

Mom Jeans are all over Paris, so I had to give them another shout-out. However, these are more of a good mom gone bad, Mom Jean. Where the last distressed pair did not go overboard, these completely do, and its amazing. They are a fun mix-up for brunch, happy hour, or any hour really – just be sure to balance the look. I added ways to dress them up or down below.

5. Vintage A-Line – Free People ($98)

The shape of these A-line cut jeans with sky-high heels is what I’m all about right now. These are a real power play, and they work well from the office to casual date night. I love the dark indigo color, perfect for a black turtleneck bodysuit and some ankle boots. See below for more styling inspo!
